Yes, it's going to be held in place with standoffs and I will drill the holes in the original plate. I'm also going to be using in-switch diodes like the old G80s did for more stability.Findecanor wrote: 19 Oct 2019, 20:01 The Key Tronic's plate holes are a tiny bit bigger than Cherry MX, so that PCB is going to be needed.
I keep a Key Tronic plate as template for cutting foam dampener to put in-between PCB and plate.![]()
I was going to try to revive the original sliders by deep cleaning and lubing them but they are too flimsy and several of them broke.
Out of curiosity, how much are they out by? It looks like 0.5u spacing from the photo.abrahamstechnology wrote: 09 Nov 2019, 02:44 Unfortunately, the idiots at KeyTronic decided not to use standard spacing between the numpad, navcluster, and alphablock so they are all slightly offset from each other.
What I'm going to do is cut the PCBs into 3 and wire them all together. It still should be pretty stable since I put standoffs in each part.
That's what I thought too but it's ever so slightly more.swampangel wrote: 09 Nov 2019, 19:39Out of curiosity, how much are they out by?
