Need to redo one blue wire which is bad for some reason, but it accepted the code seemingly without other issues.

And with that I think this build is finished!
I still need to drill a whole in back for the cable, and add some rubber feet maybe.
I might make a second one for the right side, and hopefully I can fix some of my errors on that one.
But it works great, it's so satisfying pushing a cube and generating a cube!

Yeah I love this: the case, the caps, the leds, the labels, all look great.
Although, the little bit of overhang on the flat plane label makes me fidgety.
When I see this kind of thing I'm reminded how much I'd like to get a custom dye sub setup like https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyb ... _own_caps/

I would love to take a stab at that, method. If i ever get a laser engraver I want to try the powder method as well.

I was thinking of getting a wooden case made for standard filco etc TKLs but do it as lots of layers of wood ( a bit like the acrylic cases.) End grain plywood can look quite good if its decent stuff and finished well.flowerlandfilms wrote: 12 Sep 2019, 03:11Thanks andrewjoy, i'd like to something a bit more elaborate for the next one, but I'm not sure what yet.

Plywood is under-rated as a medium.andrewjoy wrote: 13 Sep 2019, 10:53I was thinking of getting a wooden case made for standard filco etc TKLs but do it as lots of layers of wood ( a bit like the acrylic cases.) Especially modern plywood, it's much more robust these days.

I have now!
Interesting, now LED holes though, can't be picky and choosy with Alps though.

Perhaps drill a hole in the bottom pieces so the LED shines through?
