I generally get on well with the AT layout. Only thing was the control key placement tripping me up when I tried to use other boards.

But that's where the Control key belongs!

That's one of the many reasons I love the HHKB layout. Control to the left of "A", ANSI Return/Enter, Backspace directly above Return/Enter, and Fn to the right of the split Right Shift.
