[IC] 66% Wooden Case

Hi, my name is Willian, I'm 19 years old and I’m from Colombia. This case is the result of almost a year of work, it was also completely handmade by me (I'm not even an amateur woodworker, that's the reason for the imperfections of this prototype); I did it in that way basically because I didn't have access to a CNC Machine.

I would like to organize a group buy because I used a considerable amount of time and my savings to make this case come true (This is why I would be lying if I said I didn't cry when I saw the post of u/LouisVW -From Reddit-) If everything work out, I would like to use better wood like Walnut and Oak, but even if it didn't work, I'd be happy to have been able to build a mechanical keyboard -I couldn't have justified the cost as a college student- it was a wonderful experience in such a friendly community.

This is the first step as I have many future plans for the community (If this works). thanks for your attention and have a wonderful day.

Welcome to the forums and well done for making the case, it looks really neat and simple. It would be helpful to take a few more photos showing both the underside and also inside. Also specify things like cost, lead time, what support for plates/pcb etc. I think that it is a good first step but I think that you also have not considered the time and financial implications for running and importantly delivering on a group buy. Do not run a group buy with the intention just to make a profit or to cover previous costs that is how many group buys turn sour which then upsets those in the community who we need to continue and strengthen the hobby

Hi, thank you for taking the time to write me those tips, the reason I didn't write the price I had in mind, is precisely because of that, because I wanted to let the community decide the most appropriate cost for the case, this because my opinion can be very subjective to have been me who manufactured the case. Unfortunately I didn't take images of the bottom and I don't want to put bad quality images. I have already been in contact with some people who could help me make the production more efficient to avoid dissatisfaction. I did not make this keyboard with the goal of generating millions or disappearing with people's money, but on the contrary, the community of mechanical keyboards has been one of the friendliest and funniest I have ever seen and I would really like to make my way in the market to continue enjoying the wonderful world of keyboards.

As this is just an IC, he might not have the cost yet for what the GB would be. Many ICs launch based on prototypes to gather interest, from my experience with them.
