What kind of glue should I use for my IBM Model M badge?

Hi everyone, I am almost done resto-modding a 1391401 Model M. One of the last steps is to glue on the new logo badge. I have both Goop and Super Glue (cyanoacrylate). the surfaces are both very smooth and perfectly clean. What would you use?

That would be my vote as well. My experience has been that Super glue sometimes leaves a residue surrounding the glued area as it dries. I think double-sided tape would work well here.

I agree, double sided mounting tape is the way to go

Used doublesided tape for all of my badges, just make sure it's relatively thin otherwise the badge wont sit flush with the rest of the case

I`ve used a washable gluestick - like they use in grammar school - for reattaching badges with good results. It doesn't raise the badge up, holds well but is also easy to remove without leaving any residue at all.

By the way where did you get the new badge - I want one! Was it from one of the prior GBs or from somewhere else?

Yes! I purchased a couple of leftovers from this GB that Wingpad ran a little while ago: group-buys-f50/ibm-model-m-replacement- ... 15061.html

Thank you all for the input! I bought some of that tape and just installed my badge. Very happy with the results, and of course install couldn't have been easier.
