Who's this "ripster" character? Their pride discredits them.

Who's this "ripster" character? Their overt sense of self-pride discredits them a lot. Generally, the louder someone shouts online, the more insecure they are about themselves in "real" life, which is a massive shame, as we are ALL precious in the eyes of God. This person obviously knows a great deal about keyboards and other technical stuff, but as we (nearly) all know, pride is a VERY ugly thing, and it's also a sin... and a very off-putting and dislikeable attribute in oneself.

Ripster, if you read this, I admire your technical prowess and evident skill, but I'd caution you to be aware that you are *not* king of the world, just because you know a lot about keyboards and all related topics. It's a great asset to us that your skills and knowledge help many, many people, but I'd caution you to ensure your ego doesn't overflow everywhere, causing you to trip up on it.

God bless you all. Ripster, you're an asset to keyboard knowledge, but I wish you'd learn a little humility; it's quite tedious to hear everyone slating you, and I'm sure you don't like it any more than I do, as I love my fellow man, and as much as you're going to pretend it doesn't affect you (it must do, as you're human, and precious to many people, and you also have feelings.)

Have a great day folks! :-)
^ Please forgive my jumping to conclusions, and the formation of judgements thereafter. I had no right.

lol. and the fire continues on in deskthority.

op u can also go to OCN and ask around.

For me, i kinda just ignore his...well...whatever that doesn't suit my eyes. It's kind of a mental filter u get to develop when u spend enough time in geekhack... some chose to go all out on him, and those who did managed to generate quite some dramas and were actually entertaining at times. lol

Laugh. It's a funny thing.

It's quite bizzarre that they speak their replies in YouTube videos. :?

@ripster: Why don't you articulate with words? A series of YouTube videos, none of which I have the time nor inclination to sift through, hoping, somehow, to piece together this "point" you are attempting to convey, is not only tedious, but demonstrates that your "point" is unknown, even to you.

You need to work with me here.

By the way I agree that being the Undisputed Number One Keyboard Expert On The Planet does not make me king of the world.

I'm waiting for the vote results from the remainder of the ~7 billion humans on earth. Those who voted do not even represent 1/10th of the population of a small school. I'm well aware you're very clever, and I do not dispute it... but your ego is an ugly thing to behold, and you seem to be the only one unaware of the way in which such pride puts people off you.

God bless you, you're a good guy! :)

Think of his ego in terms of Andrew Dice Clay, not Donald Trump. His posts are much funnier.

Actually there is this thing called statistics.

Given the Geekhack Population size of 12,718 and my current points spread I have a 3 Sigma Confidence Level that the poll is an accurate representation of what the Geekhack Community thinks.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't do as well on a Deskthority.net poll.

Plus I don't trust the mods here, they'd edit the results.

I'm going to ignore all polls, opinions of others (my own pre-judgements included) and concentrate on liking you, because you're a child of God's, and fundamentally a good person :). It's all too easy to develop a judgemental bias against someone, without knowing one single thing about them. I am of the firm belief that we ALL have a good side, and not one of us is perfect, and we could never be. You're the same as every one of us - a human, and you deserve respect. When you blow your own trumpet, I can forgive that - it's not up to me to tell you to stop, I won't even worry over it.

Take care ripster, and thank you for putting your time and effort into making keyboards utterly fascinating; you scratch my geek itch! :)

God bless you!

I'm not into hypocrisy, so please forgive my pre-judgements of you thus far (and I have had them, but they are pointless).

KeyboardLover was not banned. KeyboardLover ASKED to have his account removed/locked, which I did. He later asked me to unlock it again, which I did not.

And could you please stop referring to "God" all the time. This here is neither a religious forum, nor is there anyone named "God" registered here. It's just incredibly annoying.

Saying God on a keyboard forum is DEFINITELY not a sin.

Did you guys know lying is NOT a Cardinal Sin?

However I AM the Number One Keyboard Expert On The Planet. The numbers prove it with greater than 3 Sigma.

Perhaps that's because consistent and repeated use of, or reiteration of, or other similar reference to, one's belief system in regular conversation with people who may not share your exact position can be a touch wearing. I have no interest in probing the beliefs of the members of any forum I use, but, for example, as an atheist I would not even consider using any mention of my cosmological ideologies as punctuation of generally unrelated interchange, only if it had some direct relevance to the topic under question. And by relevance, I don't mean excusing or explaining behaviour in some moralistic or deterministic way by reference to the way a person's beliefs would possibly affect their behaviour at any given time. I just mean that it would make no sense to finish posts with a sign-off like "the universe is possibly toroidal and we all crumble to nothing! Later dudes!"

On second thoughts, that might be vaguely entertaining for five minutes.

I have no bias against a person having one faith over another, or none at all, so my words are just a comment, and not intended to force your hand.

Unless I've just been royally trolled, in which case may your eyebrows fall off and be replaced by mini cheddars.
