I just took apart a couple of quiet click switches to see how the leaf would work in orange Alps. (Perfectly, and it's much more tactile.)
I noticed that just above the hooks on either side is a small dob of clear lubricant, like fine oil.=
It's no use me trying to get a good photo of that, but someone with real skillz should have a bash. I wonder what effect that actually has, as I don't think that's where the friction lies in those switches.
A challenge: Matias lubricant

I really need to sit down with my macro lens and my calipers one day to get real numbers.

Oh, I just though it was worth a photo. It just looks like there's water on the tactile leaf.

I found this while I did one of my Matias videos. Matias confirmed they use a lubricant on their dampened tactile and dampened linear switches (not the click ones). I asked the vice president what it was, but they didn't want to tell me as it's apparently a trade secret (much like how Alps didn't really want to tell me what they used).
