I just found an Amazon listing for O-rings that touts a hilarious product image.

- Yes, they put an O-ring on a rubber dome. Yes, that will probably prevent the switch from actuating.

They had to provide pics quickly for the listing as instructed by the owner/seller hence the poor person who had to use anything to show how and where the O-rings go.
It's alright for us aristocrats to poke fun at the "domers" but when you consider that is all they had in front of them and they needed the photos straight away, then you can forgive their ignorance.
They still showed how to attach the O-rings, which applies to every key-cap used

What makes it even better is that it probably wouldn't even work with those o-rings on. Either it wouldn't do anything at all or it would render the key inoperable.

This is almost as hard to look at as that one manual for some old Alps board telling you to "glue keycaps to the switches", except the latter is, well, disastrous. And immoral.
