Much Anthony Hopkins. Very affiliate. Such Cialis. Spamwow.
I wonder how the bots navigate our sign up process. It'd be interesting to peer into one's inner works to see what makes it tick.
Reminder: do not reply to spam topics.

I'd say it's pretty random but I don't really know. Of course the more "prominent" DT get's in the grand scheme of online madness...

I checked the ban history and it seems to come in small waves -- generally months apart. Before these Russian ones, the last decent wave was in March where 9 spammers were banned. The most out-of-control one was in January, 2015 where I basically had to blacklist all of Pakistan

I have never been able to understand the mentality of wasting my valuable time for no purpose other than to vex and irritate other people.
Acrimony-based debates, arguments, even fights I can understand, but not mindless anonymous harassment of total strangers.

I suspect the spammers are people who have responded to "earn money working from home" adverts. They don't care about irritating you. It's not personal, it's their livelihood.
As for nonsense spam messages with no links, they are designed to test whether the forum has spam filters and moderators, and how good they are.

This. And they deal in volume, because someone is going to be stupid enough to click, and generate revenue.infodroid wrote:I suspect the spammers are people who have responded to "earn money working from home" adverts. They don't care about irritating you. It's not personal, it's their livelihood.
