Hello everyone,
some time ago I bought a AEG Olympia Olyport 70 off e-bay, it cost me roughly 20€ incl. shipping. I hoped to get some nice Cherry switches or at least some MX compatible keycaps.
Today it finally arrived and I just finished cleaning it a little, of course I also took some pictures (most before cleaning, since the keycaps aren't dry right now). The package was really heavy, way heavier than the one of the AEG Olympia Carrera II which arrived today as well.
Sadly the seller didn't mention that the prepossessor was a (heavy) smoker, when opening the package the stench was pretty bad and the laptops case is just disgusting.
Well whatever, I wasn't in it for the laptop anyway and the inside isn't in as bad shape.
The keycaps look pretty nice. I think the blue legends (except for the FN key) are pad printed because they shine a little, but except for that they could be dyesubbed as well. They show no use of wear at all.
Here are some of the keycaps close up:
Did you notice something weird? At first I didn't either.
Half of the cream coloured keycaps are dyesubbed PBT (?), the other half is doubleshot ABS (?) and there is no pattern behind it at all. At first I thought only ISO-DE keycaps were dyesubbed, but for example the L-key is as well. I got no idea why they chose to do that, but since the doubleshots are still in good condition I'm not too mad. What's weird is that the doubleshots show no sign of use at all. Either the laptop was barely used, or they are actually made of PBT as well? I think I'll have to test that at some point.
I think I've seen the switches before, but I don't remember what they are called? They are quite tactile and feel nice overall. However I just disassembled one and it is just a dome with slider. Still, they are really snappy and I like them a lot. If all modern rubberdomes felt like that I'd like them (a lot).
Also take a look at those rad ,; and .: keys. Those legends are freaking massive.
Well I guess that's it for this laptop. It'd be pretty cool if somebody could help me identify these switches. I hope some people enjoyed the read, despite my bad english and the rather bad pictures (only got my Smartphone, sorry).

Hi there! Nice looking Olyport you have there. You may know that the AEG Olympia Olyport was a rebranded Zenith SupersPORT, so you can actually find most of the information you need on the wiki:

I have one that I'm working on myself, an Olyport 40 which looks exactly like yours
they are nifty machines for sure, though I'm sad to hear about the smoke odor on yours.

No worries - always interesting to see pictures of previously undocumented models
By the way, if you aren't interested in the laptop itself, I have a missing part on mine that I'm trying to replace, if you'd part with a small piece of plastic?

Great photos including all keycaps took off.
It's quite nice to have this variant.
