Of course that's really just a danish keyboard, albeit that some tobacco chewing mountain hiking Tesla driving Norwegian seems to have swapped a couple of keycaps around XD

I do think that Cherry has very nice quality double shots, but being an devout Alps guy, I have to say that I prefer Alps Electric double shots.
There are some very convincing look-alike caps for certain Alps boards that look just like OG Cherry DS though.

Why can I not shake the look of the box? I like it more than the keyboard.

Very true. The Leading Edge DC-3014 has them, the Acer KB101AS variant of the KB101A has them, and that odd metal-backed Packard Bell has them. Also the Japanese version of the Dell AT101 has them as well.bocahgundul wrote:Its just how the legends and how bold the legend is

After a few days of use - I can say that it is really nice keyboard and is also much quiter then modern black switches. Very smooth all the way. The only downside with this keyboard is thin PCB and not a particularly good PCB support - so it can be pushed down and up when installing / removing keycaps

Looks like this is just month before the last days of "West Gernamy"
Don't have as much experience with alps or other switches - but do agreed that cherry's are very nice, clean and unobtrusive
haha! true story
Thanks - really happy with it!

Hahaha, you haven't seen doubleshots until you have seen Honeywell doubleshots.

May I ask how you came over this board? Curious Norwegian asking. Under the impression that stuff like this is hard to find in our little spot in the world. Suspect it's because the country has been so rich that everything interesting got tossed straight in the garbage.

Oh yes, that is a very correct description. Also recycling of old PC stuff aint especilly good. This one I got from ad on finn.no where I just asked for old keyboards in a WTB style. So an older guy called me and offered me old board he had for years - I offered him 300,- for it without any pictures or details - had good feeling about it. He did great job packaging it and sending original box - so just got lucky. Another time I got a crappy rubber-dome for the same price from another guy - so its a gamble.
But there is a few companies like www.ad.no which specialize in recycling - I do send them email or pay them a visit from time to time to check if they have any.
