Alas, it is there though. Not only is it ugly, the non standard spacing makes it impossible to know which key you're hitting without looking. Despite all that it's one of my favourite boards, I think it's going to get some attention over the Christmas break (and possibly a wiki page if I really get my arse in gear).

The Big Ass Enter puts me off. But that function row has a certain 68k era charm to it. Besides, who ever needed function keys on a Mac? There's not even room for your [insert vintage pro app here] keyboard overlay!

Can't quite parse that last sentence. It's either the unmatched quote marks or the bit where you climbed up the telegraph pole and started singing about the end times.
Anywho, not all "HHKBs" have to be your dreaded Thorpies, you know! The layout works well on very different switches, too.

HAHA, I have the transparent trackball version! Probably selling it soon, once I figure out a price. Kinda rare...lol.

I sort of like that little Datadesk board... the F-row caps being different reminds me of the Atari XE and ST series.
What bothers me tends to be subtle stuff:
Inconsistent typography. I got an Acer 6511 at a scrap shop for the caps... most of the keys are nice, but the ones with two legends have differing sizes between legends on the same cap.
Messed up or not-even-trying legends. Years ago, I bought a rubberdome board that was US ISO; I recall that whatever glyph they put on the key next to left shift, it was wrong.
Roundness. Fundamentally, a keyboard is gonna be rectangular or close due to the nature of it. Adding bulges makes you look like a $4.99 rubber dome trying to differentiate yourself in a crowded store shelf. I'm looking at you, Matias Tactile Pro.

I want to necro this thread to add my contribution, found this on a flea market yesterday, but did not buy it. Kudos for the engravings though, and infill. Those engravings is so deep it would never wear.

These threads have come up from time to time.
Somebody once posted the "Kentucky Fried Chicken" keyboard which has to be way up there.
