Quite a big deal I guess, not sure why. I remember seeing that movie when it came out. Did not like the third one as much though.

Where were going we don't need roads!

No one makes films like that any more. I wonder why?

Part II was my favourite. I felt confident it showed time travel the way it really works: change events, spawn a new timeline. And yes, I am sorely disappointed we don't have hoverboards, self tying laces, or vintage compact Macs that are still worth that much…

Part I was rock solid too. Part III, well, all trilogies need a weak one.

Too bad we do still need those. Big time.

There was so much optimism about the future back then. From the first powered flight to the moon in 66 years! Thats impressive. But what have we done since then ?

As a race capable of launching a manned vehicle out of near earth orbit = Gone
A reusable spacecraft = Gone
Supersonic Commuter Jet = Gone

All we try to do now is make our phones just that little bit better.

Where would I drive my 1990s car (which had been developed in the 1980s) if there where no roads!
:o

However, I remember they re-fueled the DeLorean with garbage, this would be a cool thing. Just stop and empty a garbage can into the fuel tank.

It's a movie, it's entertainment. One or two articles about it would have been fun. Not sure why it have to be a thousand.

This is the one day you can find out. Go to Hill Valley and look out for a DeLorean!

I was wondering when the internet would come up. I prefer this 80s meets the future scenario:
This, incidentally, taught me a lot about Reddit.

That was badly done. The Apple II Unidisk in the background wasn't released until 1984 and the green anti-reflective coating on her glasses didn't come out until the 90's.

Attaboy!

I think the colour web browsing on the IBM PC 5150 is the bigger anachronism. But Lonely Sandwich got the keyboard right, and that's what counts around here, damnit. The episode before that was the series opener, where they discover how you get to The Internet.

Not to be confused with this version.
