40% layout concept.

I'm looking for a guinea pig here, as I can't solder and don't have the equipment either. The layers are colour coded; green is the Shift layer, red and blue are Raise and Lower respectively, and light blue is Fn. I'm open to suggestions. I'm calling it the squid40.

Maybe keep the F keys on the same layer? Makes more sense IMO.

Also, try to either print or draw it up to scale and "type" on it for a while.

Right. I'll try to get the F keys on the same layer somehow. I have a drawing of the layout next to me, actually: Only a few key sizes are wrong. I'll try printing the thing out and see how I like it. Off to KLE we go!

EDIT: Moved all F keys to the Raised layer, moved (most) symbols to the Fn layer, and put arrows on IJKL, on the Lowered layer.
