While in Scotland make sure to try the local delicacies also if you dare, such as the the deep-fried Mars bar.

You mean the black slopes?

The only reason a Welshman would come to Scotland is for his cousin's wedding. The details are different, but the landscape, climate and the culture here are much the same. When all of Europe is within reach, I could never advise it!

Indeed. Especially with Snowdonia about 10 minutes away from me, which seems to be the most Scottish-looking area outside of Scotland

Yup. The reason those Hobbit films were shot in New Zealand wasn't because of looks, but because they didn't want to have to pull their actors waist deep out of the mud several times per scene. Both our highlands are blessed with enough rain to make mass warfare largely a battle of excavation!

How are the torturing, mass spying and oil wars doing? I've as much desire to go to the US as I have going to North Korea.

Croatia is pretty awesome, and cheap. Lots of different landscapes depending on which you go to.

Protecting our freedom and keeping the world safe! At least that's the line we're supposed to use for our veiled suppression and aggression.

Traveling here as a citizen is easy. Not so sure what's like for international visitors. People have told me it's a giant hassle.
