thank you for asking all that beltet, and to GhostofHarry for clarifying. this will be my first attempt at soldering anything and its a relief to know the IC is already done.

yes, diodes are presoldered, and should have NKRO (to be confirmed, i am not extremely sure)

and yes, you can solder the LED by yourself, and LED choices are provided in the GB
no sure what u are asking about but how i got your questions correctly

The controller has a pre-made firmware, and has a simple GUI that guides you easily to your designated layout. Further details will be given in the groupbuy post

the IC is pre-soldered, what you need to solder are switches and LED

hope this could answer your questions
Thx!
That was exactly what I was asking for.
Switches I already have and soldering wouldn't be a problem. Looking forward to this GB.

One more thing. Is the firmware open source? is there a possibility that you can post it here or link to it so that we maybe can tinker with it before buying the keyboard? With a teensy for example?

Wow! Great! Thats awesome! You are a fast replier, and get the work done! Feels much comfortable to buy from you in the future.
Will try to get it on a teensy connected to breadboard with switches and test it out. If I can find the time :D .

I think GhostOfHarry don't want to have two GB's at the same time. He is still shipping the first round of cheap Thaihao caps. And seen IC's of a Round 2. Maybe he's gathering experience for a more complex GB like this one.
That's good for all in my opinion. But take this with a grain of salt. This is my thoughts only. Nothing confirmed.

Either way, looks like IvanIvanovich is running a GB for the Red Scarf III, but idk if hes bringing it over here. I saw the thread on GH.

That's Red Scarf III, not II. Red Scarf II has a 60% with numpad. Red Scarf III is a 75% with extra three columns.

BTW, IvanIvanovic's GB is US only... which is sad because there are a bunch of people who want 75% keyboards with support for ISO.

I just figured you guys wouldn't want to pay the fortune for shipping from China to USA to... which would be kind of dumb. Also they only giving me a few days to collect order since they are almost ready to go to production. Probably better off to just go through a TaoBao agent on your own really cost wise.

IK its not the exact same, but i figured the same people might still be interested in the RSIII.

I am still very keen on a RSII either way.
