Plate designs come later ...

Other Hyper models will follow, but the smallest is the easiest for testing and cheapest for prototyping.

That's a very good idea. I've got a trackpoint module from an IBM Space Saver waiting for this! I'm just worried that the TP controller will be longer than the HyperMicro PCB.

Option to have usb connector on main pcb?
How about some indicator leds?
Some teensys come with both rows of pins presoldered - add pads for these even though they are not used.
PCB stab holes for shifts, but it might conflict with existing keys.
I like the gray pcb

Why do they say deskthority.org? Is it the non-profit charity version of Deskthority?

I think it's more like webwit went insane and bought all the available TLDs for deskthority at the time.

Now we need deskthority.xxx for keyboard internal pictures, just my opinion.

I agree about deskthority.xxx, maybe we can also get deskthority.club and .technology while we're at it?

.org is better than .net says someone who's never registered a domain with the latter, because it feels redundant.

Besides, maybe 7bit slipped up, as he's actually working on this?

I know the website is hosted under deskthority.net and not under deskthority.org, but I always type deskthority.org automatically.

This is the prototype so it is supposed to have bugs.


BTW: I will add support for 4 and 7 units space bars (both plate or PCB mounted) and will make 2 PCBs for symmetric and traditional staggering.

it depends on how long it will take you If you can do the prototypes in under 6 months you are not eligible

But enough joking, this is an interesting project and I would like to play with a 60% prototype maybe even with the Micro

It would be thick with the Teensy there. Why not have it one row up?

There isn't enough space.

The JD40 even has it in the bottom row!

OK, I had a thought about it:
Teensy must be turned 180 degrees and moved a bit towards the center (by a pad or so).

Then, 2 columns can be connected directly inside, 4 via the space on top and at least 4 through the space between row 3 and 2. It is possible to connect 2 columns through the bottom rows.

Row 3 and 2 are trivial, but row 1 and 0 should also be easy ...

OK, let's give it a try ...
