I myself don't honestly. I've had the same "Crayola Band" mousepad forever and it works well enough. I've never seen the point of getting the specially branded mousepad unless you have a Mouse Systems mouse in which case it's pretty much required.

I've tried many mousepads and the only factor that would make you buy a mousepad from the same brand is because you want the logos to match perfectly, otherwise there is no point in doing that so just go with the one you fancy most.

No, I don't bother since it doesn't really matter(the stuff about optimized tracking is mostly BS).
I do try to match colours if possible though, but brand isn't important. The two do align often though; matching colour sometimes requires matching brand.
