Hi, i'm currently working on a custom mechanical keyboard usings Cherry MX Switches and i just need some help with the measurements and of costar stabilisers for plate mount and also the shape of the cut-out on the plate. I'd also like to know wheter i need to cut out anything on the pcb for the stabiliser

If you use plate-mounted stabilisers, then they will not touch the PCB. Keyboards with PCB-mounted Cherry MX switches (no plate) have different stabilisers mounted in drill holes on the PCB.

I would suggest that you download one of the existing free plate designs and copy and paste from that into your CAD drawing.
For example. the plates for the Phantom are available here but those holes are a bit bigger to support both Cherry and Costar-style stabilisers so they will have ugly gaps if you intend to use the top plate as the top of the keyboard case. Other plate designs have been posted in this subforum, and there should also be a template available especially for copying and pasting into your own design.
Note that the direction of the stabiliser holes is important for Costar stabilisers. The wire needs to be on the same side as the switch's LED hole - litster's ErgoDox case/plate design is known to have got that wrong for a couple of keys.

Here's the plates we laid out for our laser cutting GB the other day:

Most are Costar stabs, one has Cherry stab compatibility too if I recall. Matt3o drew them in DraftSight.
