Hello Everybody, i'm wondering about making myself a free cheap and functional mouse pad..I have a 23x20 cm, but I'd like to have a bigger mouse pad.. and the only way to have it without paying alot is building one myself.
what I need to make it? i was thinking about some foam sheet for the bottom and some cotton fiber for the top one.
is cotton OK? or should I use another fiber?

I'd like to know, too. A huge mouse pad would be awesome. Like one of these:

I'm a quick mouser, and pads often have too much friction. Tailor made, by myself, sounds worth a look!

I think that most commercial mouse pads use synthetic fabric. Some kind of spray adhesive would be best.

At a previous workplace, we had these large "desk pads" from IKEA instead of mousepads. They are rigid (probably plastic or cardboard inside) and covered with fake leather. (Fake) leather is comfortable on the palms in front of the keyboard also.

BTW, here is another idea for a large mouse pad (that I found when trying to find the IKEA item).

Oh, I forgot to mention one issue with the first "desk pad" I linked to. It is a bit deep, which makes it jut against the front edge of the monitor's stand. This made everyone put their screens further away from the keyboard.

Thank Guys.. i was thinking about searching for a foam sheet, to make it more steady on the desk.. do you think it's a good idea?
And, what type of fiber do you advice me to make the upper low-friction part? thank alot all
