I have a Unicomp Ultra Classic, which I love dearly.
But, since it is a new version of the Model M, I was wondering if the Model M was any different.
Does anyone here have a Model M as well as a Unicomp, and can tell me the differences, if there are any?
What do model M's feel like?

I have a Unicomp Classic and, in my opinion, the difference is very subtle. A lot of people may not even notice it. To me, Model M keystrokes feel slightly smoother; there's a nuance of graininess to the Unicomp. The distinction in feel isn't as stark as the difference between a Model M and Model F by any means, but I can feel it.Spotty1125 wrote:I have a Unicomp Ultra Classic, which I love dearly.

Model M's also emit a hollow, metallic ping when typing, which is relatively non-existent with the Unicomp to my ears.
Model M cases are also more rigid than Unicomp's. The Model M feels a bit sturdier (and slightly heavier) to me. Unlike the Model M, my Unicomp case tends to creak if pressure is applied to bend it slightly.
