In this thread I'll post what I learned regarding the building of a new memotech MTX keyboard.

The idea is to have the memotech MTX keyboard completely redone : PCB, Plate and Switches. The keycaps will be re-used with custom made 3D printed adapters.

The switches I will use for my first version will be the matias tactile switch.

Status :
1. Design Schematic for PCB. 100% DONE
2. Design PCB. 0%
3. Design mounting plate. 0%
4. Design keycap adapters. 50%
5. Order parts and assemble it. 0%

I'm still looking for the schematic files for an Alps switch which I'd like to use in Eagle. I'd rather not reverse engineer from a chinese datasheet... Can anybody help me with those?

Another memotech enthousiast has written an article about this project here : http://primrosebank.net/computers/mtx/p ... yboard.htm

I modelled the alps switch for use in Eagle and reverse engineered it from a datasheet.
