Re: Have you ever gotten scammed in a keyboard-related transaction?

I bought green alps from itzmeluigi for ~$1/switch just before he got banned from mechmarket etc (though the transaction happened here)

Gaterons can be found in the rock bottom cheapies now and people still treat them like a revalation.

I wonder if Outemu would go through the same hype if they started selling their switches individually.

Better also hope the Gateron fairy brings you Gaterons that don't collide with your keycaps ...

I'm wondering...with your layout for the groupbuy, is it a design choice to have the rows not match the 'standard' rows?

there is a .25 stagger on a 'normal' keyboard, and a .5 stagger with this keyboard between the top and second row, seems like an odd choice to me

that was to keep some of the ...

is there a problem with lubing blue alps? I've heard their smoothness is possibly because of a dry lube or some such trickery, and I wouldn't want to ruin that for potential minor improvements, but if there isn't then I'll do it regardless of how I feel once I have stabilisers (my experience so far ...

Wrongly downrated:
*Acer switch: why do so many people hate these? I find them quite nice to use. They're not scratchy, they're tactile enough for anyone, and I'd say the clicky noise is pretty decent. They're also by far the easiest to service and repair of any switch I've seen by an order of ...

I'd be interested, but I'm EU

if there were enough interested from EU, someone (I?) could act as a 'proxy' and we could split the postage costs that way to lower the impact

I found this to be a good watch and I agreed with Yanis' overarching points - If there's a stay vote, there is a need for EU Reform involving more transparency and more done for the good of people rather than the good of the top 1% (his point of innovation bonds is a good one)

Ah, right, Acer keyboard. I think that’s the kind with semi-integrated switches clipped into a plastic plate/frame?

Yeah, I can see how it would be a bit tough to salvage the stabilizer clips from that, since they’re part of the plastic part. I think you need to do some experimenting to figure out ...
