I actually bought these a few months ago and they are indeed alps branded. However, when I bought them the listing was:
"Supply of imported original ALPS WKUES1B010 mechanical keyboard button switch"
NOW the listing is:
"Supply of imported original similar ALPS WKUES1B010 mechanical keyboard button ...

The search box at the top right provides autocomplete on page titles, but it is case-sensitive from the second character onwards (i.e. you can type "chicony KB-5161" or "Chicony KB-5161" but not "chicony kb-5161"). I generally use that box, rather than run full searches.

I recommend a Nan Tan FMA3300 or FMA3500. I saw one at a radio rally years ago, and pulled off a keycap to find the highly rare [wiki]Alps ultra low profile[/wiki] switches. I should have bought the machine, but I didn't want something that bulky, and I didn't write down the model of computer. I ...

Latching keys are the ones that stay down when pressed. Since they were probably never used on any PC keyboard, I have no idea why the manufacturer would bother to state that. (Apple used latching alternate action switches for Alpha/Shift/Caps Lock for years, up until the AppleDesign Keyboard, which ...

My first encounter with Alps integrated dome (the small blue ones) led me to believe they were mechanical, as they were sharply tactile and had a metallic ping. I was quite surprised when I opened a switch. With any rubber-based keyboard (including MEI T-15) you have to consider the state of the ...

You are going to "buy new springs" … for what, exactly? Blue Alps's feel comes from not one but three springs: a helical return spring, a leaf spring for the click and tactile feel, and a leaf spring that works the contacts. The contacts are also springy: you have a flat plastic prong that applies ...
