1. pins and pcb
I will be using Cherry mx Browns PCB mounted with diodes. What I want to know is, does the PCB have to be raised from the case with standoffs? If it's not will the pins from the keyswitch fit all the way down?

"clear case" means the key body case or it is for the keycaps? (if they are included)

Clear case means that the case is clear 8-)

Ah right, so because the leaf spring in the switch is long and flat, it will press on the membrane along more than a single point (since the contact pads are not under the centre of the switches).

btw, there is a free din->ps2 adapter (got them for free from the seller) in every package. So have a look for it, could be hidden somewhere between paper. (If there's none, sorry forgot to add it) :D
I found one, thank you for that. It came in handy for connecting it to my PS2 -> USB converter :D

Just for checking if one could turn a "modern" G81 into a winkeyless G81 without modifying the board. It works. I think that's the reason why cherry introduced those off center stem keys. (More)

I wanted to remove some Cherry MY Switches from a Peacock G81 plate. Each switch has two feet each with a pin inside of it. So to remove the switch you first have to remove the pin. Oh, I already tried that, but I did not take pictures, I am sorry for that. I will correct that tomorrow to raise your knowledge bar to 100%. You might get a level up and be able to learn new stuff.

Because Arduino clones are very cheap, I planned to use an Arduino with an ATmega 32U4 for my keyboard project. I already bought an Arduino Pro Micro. My Problem is, that the the following combinition does not work together:

Renesas USB 3.0 Controller µPD720200A ...

I already got my Peacocks (shipping Germany -> Germany). I will post some pictures of those nasty off center stems soon (tomorrow?).
