Latency isn't directly related to bandwidth, since at least some of the time can overlap with other events. But even so, things must be getting pretty tight for those very fast typists... and I guess they're very fussy about their keyboards, too!
Strangely, Sean Wrona admits to not being able to ...

I have often thought of pedals, but, more than fidgeting, feet are much slower than hands, and (perhaps most importantly), the coordination between hands and feet is really slow, and coordination speed is really important in terms of modifiers. It feels like you can press 4 or 5 keys with your hands ...

Yep...but sadly the UK is not far behind. Mexico and Quatar compete for #1, though.

I think it's a great idea. Admittedly niche, but so was "Helvetica".
Aside from keyboard interest, I support anything that even subtly refutes the "need" to bring in tens of millions of "best and the brightest" like Faizal Shahzad because Americans are suddenly too stupid to do engineering.

Forgive me for being dense, but does this mean that the Soarer Converter will not work when connected to a typical USB keyboard connected through a simple USB to PS/2 adapter?

Old matrix, new controller
Kind of a basic question, but if I wanted to replace the controller in various keyboards (old Model M, new Unicomp Model M, Scorpius, WASD), how easy is it to find headers to mate with the existing matrix? The mylar with white conductive traces is not amenable to conventional soldering.

I happen to have another (weird) question: will there ever be support for a few extra Fn keys connected directly to one of the free Teensy ports?
