I'm working on a new keyboard with a plastic (POM) case. Is electrostatic discharge an issue? If so, what measures are taken to prevent damage to the electrical components? I'm not referring to the construction process but it's actual usage.

I'd keep it if I were you. You did nothing wrong and, if anything, the community owes you for starting and maintaining GH for so long. I think most people realize that.

You might be best to ditch the folding aspect. Folding the keyboard doesn't take up any less volume and adds unnecessary complexity. With a 60-70 switch keyboard, the footprint will be manageably small anyways.

I used MLs on a 55 key keyboard and kept the total height to 5/8" with a footprint ...

While I also love finger trackballs (especially with a ring scroll) you forgot that while they don't collect desk gunk they collect finger gunk and must be cleaned more often than mice.

It's the only thing i dislike about mine anyway.

Smaller switch, shorter travel. 1.2mm pretravel vs. 1.5mm for 1350. 2.4mm total travel vs. 3.0 for 1350.

if the problem is more than at the switch,it may not be worth messing with it. The switch is an easy fix though; probably less than ten minutes. You could probably find someone nearby to solder it for you.

I used a TECK for a while and still have mixed opinions about it. Good build, fair ergonomic design, and nice size and look.

That's pretty exciting after such a long wait. I had the chance to try one on for size last year and it has a nice feel to it. He really did a good job on the placement of the switches and the profiles of the caps. I'm sure you'll like it.
