Don't know about the Gigabyte board, but
the Cherry Board is build with a very sturdy steel(I believe) switch plate. So no flex with that board. It also comes with lower profile keycaps if that is something you prefer.

I have some from en MY cherry board which look very similar, and I wonder whether it should try to bright them

Yes those are double shot keycaps but these are MY and not MX switches,right?
