Im currently working on a project to design a custom 40% layout keyboard with cherry ML switches. The issue i'm having is figuring out how to mount my switches. The only way i can think of is to chop up the pcb and rearrange it to fit my layout and use the pcb as a mounting plate of sorts. :?

How well would this work for larger keyboards such as a 60%? Is there a good way to support it so it doesnt have massive amounts of flex in the middle. This seems like a very good way to test new or strange layouts rather than paying to have a custom plate made and finding out the design sucks and ...
