Well, not literally, right? I mean, at the very least, people used these at work all day in the late 70s and early 80s, yeah?

If you can remove a keycap you should try. It either has white switches or blue switches. In the latter case you've got something on your hands worth a few hundred bucks!

Any ideas? Bought in on impulse, worried it is f&f, already opened refund even though it was only $15 (albeit with $30 shipping and $10 import).
Did you really get it, cause I've got it in my hands right now??

It is not an alps board, based on lock light shape and positionshine wrote: 10 Oct 2020, 17:48 is this a blue alps keyboard? i know that the black version of the canon hd40 is, but the grey... judging by the bloq num and mayus lights i don't think is even an alps board, right? seems more like cherry. i believe it's material differences - slider/housing material specifically. Also second gen switches come with short switchplates too. Springs are different as well.

Oh absolutely. Yellow alps are a gen 2 alps switch, whereas greens are gen 1. Quality of gen 1 switches are typically better than successive gens.

[FS] Epson AT board with SKCL browns
Selling my epson board with 9+/10 SKCL brown alps! For the uninformed, SKCL brown are a heavier linear first-gen alps switch, and are quite rare! This board has switches in damn-near 10/10 shape, but I know it's not NOS because there is a bit of shine on the keycaps.
